Chrysanthemum Morifolium is a perennial plants with a thickened rhizome. Stems are erect, 25-120 cm high, sometimes strongly branched, with thin branches, abundantly lobed. Leaves are cauline. Upper cauline leaves are small with short petioles, often almost entire. The underside of the leaves is dull or grayish-green because of the rather abundant pubescence. Leaves have a specific smell. The inflorescence is the basket consisting of a multitude (up to 1000) of ray and tubular flowers. Cultivation of chrysanthemums, originated in China, pursued not only decorative purposes, but also medicinal and food.*
