A single-herb liquid extract of dried leaf of Brassica oleracea, cold-macerated in small batches and offered either as a traditional tincture in organic sugar-cane alcohol or as a vegetable glycerite.

About the plant

Kale is the form of Brassica oleracea that stayed closest to the wild plant. Cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, kohlrabi, Brussels sprouts and kale are all one species, selected over two thousand years in different directions from a leggy sea cabbage that still grows on Atlantic sea cliffs — the terminal bud gave cabbage, the flower head gave broccoli, the stem gave kohlrabi, and kale is simply the leaves, left as an open rosette that never hearts up. It is the hardiest of the lot, standing through hard frost, which converts some of its starch to sugar and is why growers wait for a cold snap before cutting.

Suggested use

Shake well before use. Take 20–30 drops (about 1 ml, one full squeeze of the dropper bulb) in 2 oz of water or juice, up to 4 times daily, or as directed by a qualified healthcare practitioner.
