A single-herb liquid extract of dried roots of Anemopsis californica, cold-macerated in small batches and offered either as a traditional tincture in organic sugar-cane alcohol or as a vegetable glycerite.

About the plant

Yerba mansa grows in alkaline seeps, hot-spring margins and wet salt flats in the American southwest and northern Mexico, spreading by red runners into dense colonies. Its flower head is a small cone of tiny flowers sitting above a collar of white petal-like bracts, so the whole thing reads as a single white flower and is not. In autumn the leaves and stems flush deep crimson and a whole marsh of it turns red. The root is thick, jointed and strongly peppery-camphorous.

Suggested use

Shake well before use. Take 20–30 drops (about 1 ml, one full squeeze of the dropper bulb) in 2 oz of water or juice, up to 4 times daily, or as directed by a qualified healthcare practitioner.
