About the plant

The blue water lily of the Nile roots in the mud and sends its pads and flowers up to the surface on long stalks. The flower is pale blue, with narrow sharply pointed petals arranged in a star around a dense yellow centre, and it keeps a strict schedule: open in the morning, shut by early afternoon, for three or four days running. That daily disappearance and return is why it saturates ancient Egyptian art — painted on tomb walls, carved into the capitals of temple columns, wound into funeral garlands, and strewn over the coffin of Tutankhamun when it was found.

Suggested use

Shake well before use. Take 20–30 drops (about 1 ml, one full squeeze of the dropper bulb) in 2 oz of water or juice, up to 4 times daily, or as directed by a qualified healthcare practitioner.
