Brucea javanica is an evergreen shrub of 1.5-2 m high. Leaves are complex, odd-pinnate, small leaves are opposite, elongate-ovate, large-toothed. The leaf is 5-10 cm long, the upper side of the leaf is green, the lower one is pale green. Flowers are small, white. Blooms in June-August. Stone fruit is ovoid, when riped black, about 8 mm long. Seeds are round white. *
