A single-herb liquid extract of dried root of Elymus repens, cold-macerated in small batches and offered either as a traditional tincture in organic sugar-cane alcohol or as a vegetable glycerite.

About the plant

Couch grass is the reason gardeners hate a fork. Its rhizomes are white, brittle and packed with buds, so digging a patch chops them into fragments and every fragment grows into a new plant; the more thoroughly it is dug, the better it does. Cats and dogs seek out the leaves and eat them deliberately. The rhizome itself is sweet with stored fructans, and it was dug, dried and ground into famine flour across Europe.

No added sugar. Contains no artificial colours, preservatives or fragrances.

Suggested use

Shake well before use. Take 20–30 drops (about 1 ml, one full squeeze of the dropper bulb) in 2 oz of water or juice, up to 4 times daily, or as directed by a qualified healthcare practitioner.

Warnings

Not for use if you have impaired kidney or heart function with fluid retention. Couch grass is a grass — avoid it if you have a grass-pollen allergy.
