A single-herb liquid extract of dried herbs of Alchemilla vulgaris, cold-macerated in small batches and offered either as a traditional tincture in organic sugar-cane alcohol or as a vegetable glycerite.

About the plant

Lady's mantle leaves are pleated like a folded fan and cupped, and every morning each one holds a single perfect bead of water at the centre. It is not dew: the plant pushes water out through pores at the leaf margin overnight under root pressure, and it collects in the cup. Medieval alchemists gathered that water for their work, which is where Alchemilla comes from. The plant sets seed without pollination, so it has split into hundreds of near-identical microspecies.

Glycerite: Alchemilla vulgaris dried herbs, vegetable glycerin USP, distilled water.

No added sugar. Contains no artificial colours, preservatives or fragrances.

Suggested use

Shake well before use. Take 20–30 drops (about 1 ml, one full squeeze of the dropper bulb) in 2 oz of water or juice, up to 4 times daily, or as directed by a qualified healthcare practitioner.

Warnings

Not for use in pregnancy. High in tannins; leave a gap either side of any medication or iron supplement.
