A single-herb liquid extract of dried herb of Parietaria officinalis, cold-macerated in small batches and offered either as a traditional tincture in organic sugar-cane alcohol or as a vegetable glycerite.

About the plant

Pellitory of the wall is a nettle relative that never developed a sting. It grows out of the mortar of old walls, out of rubble and stony banks, across southern and central Europe — parietaria, from paries, a wall — with brittle reddish translucent stems, oval pointed leaves and clusters of tiny petal-less green flowers in the leaf axils. It releases pollen explosively and in quantity, and is one of the principal causes of hay fever in Mediterranean cities.

No added sugar. Contains no artificial colours, preservatives or fragrances.

Suggested use

Shake well before use. Take 20–30 drops (about 1 ml, one full squeeze of the dropper bulb) in 2 oz of water or juice, up to 4 times daily, or as directed by a qualified healthcare practitioner.

Warnings

People with hay fever should be aware that this is a major pollen allergen in southern Europe; if you react to pellitory pollen, do not take the herb.
