About the plant

Punarnava is a sprawling perennial herb of tropical India and Africa, running along the ground on wiry reddish stems with small paired leaves, white beneath, and clusters of tiny pink flowers held on sticky nodes that catch on anything passing. The Sanskrit name means "new again": the top growth dies back to nothing in the dry season and the plant returns from its thick tap root when the monsoon arrives. The young leaves are eaten as a pot-herb across rural India, and the plant turns up in almost every village as a weed of cultivated ground.

Suggested use

Shake well before use. Take 20–30 drops (about 1 ml, one full squeeze of the dropper bulb) in 2 oz of water or juice, up to 4 times daily, or as directed by a qualified healthcare practitioner.
