A single-herb liquid extract of dried root of Stellaria dichotoma, cold-macerated in small batches and offered either as a traditional tincture in organic sugar-cane alcohol or as a vegetable glycerite.

About the plant

Yin chai hu is a stitchwort of dry sandy grassland and desert margin in Inner Mongolia, Ningxia and Shaanxi, growing as a low cushion of forking stems — dichotoma means exactly that, branching in twos again and again — with narrow paired leaves and small white flowers. The root is long, tapering, pale yellow and marked with fine rings, and old roots show a pitted scar at the crown that graders look for.

No added sugar. Contains no artificial colours, preservatives or fragrances.

Suggested use

Shake well before use. Take 20–30 drops (about 1 ml, one full squeeze of the dropper bulb) in 2 oz of water or juice, up to 4 times daily, or as directed by a qualified healthcare practitioner.
