About the plant

White quebracho is a tree of the dry Gran Chaco of Argentina, Paraguay and Bolivia, and its name is a Spanish contraction of quiebra-hacha, axe-breaker — the wood is so dense and hard that it sinks in water and blunts tools. It has narrow grey-green leaves and small yellowish flowers. This extract is made from the bark, which is thick, deeply fissured and pale, and which is bitter.

Glycerite: Aspidosperma quebracho-blanco dried bark, vegetable glycerin USP, distilled water.

No added sugar. Contains no artificial colours, preservatives or fragrances.

Suggested use

Shake well before use. Take 20–30 drops (about 1 ml, one full squeeze of the dropper bulb) in 2 oz of water or juice, up to 4 times daily, or as directed by a qualified healthcare practitioner.

Warnings

Not for use in pregnancy. Quebracho bark contains alkaloids related to yohimbine; do not exceed the suggested amount, and do not use it if you have a heart condition or take MAO inhibitors or antidepressants.

Keep out of reach of children. Not for use during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. If you are taking any medication, have a medical condition, or are scheduled for surgery, consult a healthcare practitioner before use. Discontinue use if an adverse reaction occurs.
