A single-herb liquid extract of dried herb of Polygonum aviculare, cold-macerated in small batches and offered either as a traditional tincture in organic sugar-cane alcohol or as a vegetable glycerite.

About the plant

Knotgrass grows flat in the cracks of pavements, on gateways and on tracks that everything walks over, in wiry mats of thin tough branching stems with small blue-green leaves and flowers so tiny they need a lens. Its family mark is at every node: a thin silvery papery sheath, the ocrea, wrapped around the stem where each leaf joins it. The stems are surprisingly hard to break, which is what lets it survive being trodden on all summer.

No added sugar. Contains no artificial colours, preservatives or fragrances.

Suggested use

Shake well before use. Take 20–30 drops (about 1 ml, one full squeeze of the dropper bulb) in 2 oz of water or juice, up to 4 times daily, or as directed by a qualified healthcare practitioner.

Warnings

Not for use in pregnancy. High in tannins and silica; do not exceed the suggested amount.
