A single-herb liquid extract of dried plant material of Wolfiporia extensa, cold-macerated in small batches and offered either as a traditional tincture in organic sugar-cane alcohol or as a vegetable glycerite.

About the plant

Fu ling and fu shen are the same fungus, sorted by what is inside the piece. The fungus grows on the roots of pines and forms a hard buried mass, sometimes several kilograms, with a rough dark rind and a white interior. When that mass has grown around a section of pine root so that the wood is left embedded through the middle of it, the piece is set aside and sold as fu shen — spirit poria. Cut slices show the pale wood core surrounded by the white body of the fungus. Most commercial supply is dug from pine plantations in Yunnan, Anhui and Hubei.

Tincture: Wolfiporia extensa, organic sugar-cane alcohol, distilled water, vegetable glycerin USP.
Glycerite: Wolfiporia extensa, vegetable glycerin USP, distilled water.

No added sugar. Contains no artificial colours, preservatives or fragrances.

Suggested use

Shake well before use. Take 20–30 drops (about 1 ml, one full squeeze of the dropper bulb) in 2 oz of water or juice, up to 4 times daily, or as directed by a qualified healthcare practitioner.

Warnings

Not for use by anyone with a mould allergy. Speak to a practitioner first if you take diuretics.
