A single-herb liquid extract of dried seed of Irvingia gabonensis, cold-macerated in small batches and offered either as a traditional tincture in organic sugar-cane alcohol or as a vegetable glycerite.

About the plant

The African mango is a tall evergreen tree of the West and Central African lowland rainforest, reaching forty metres, and despite the name it is no relation to the true mango. Its fruit is a green-yellow drupe about the size of a small mango with fibrous orange flesh, but the part that matters in the kitchens of Nigeria and Cameroon is the seed inside: the dika nut, or ogbono, which is ground to a paste and used to thicken soups into the characteristic drawing texture that ogbono soup is named for. The kernels are oily enough that they can be pressed for a solid butter.

No added sugar. Contains no artificial colours, preservatives or fragrances.

Suggested use

Shake well before use. Take 20–30 drops (about 1 ml, one full squeeze of the dropper bulb) in 2 oz of water or juice, up to 4 times daily, or as directed by a qualified healthcare practitioner.
