A single-herb liquid extract of dried seed of Litchi chinensis, cold-macerated in small batches and offered either as a traditional tincture in organic sugar-cane alcohol or as a vegetable glycerite.

About the plant

Li zhi he is the lychee seed — the single glossy dark brown stone at the centre of the fruit, smooth as a polished pebble and normally thrown away. It is collected from processing, dried, and crushed before use. The tree is a southern Chinese evergreen whose fruit has been prized for two thousand years and was famously carried north to the Tang court by relays of horsemen.

No added sugar. Contains no artificial colours, preservatives or fragrances.

Suggested use

Shake well before use. Take 20–30 drops (about 1 ml, one full squeeze of the dropper bulb) in 2 oz of water or juice, up to 4 times daily, or as directed by a qualified healthcare practitioner.

Warnings

Not for use in pregnancy. Lychee seed may lower blood sugar sharply; take care if you are on diabetes medication.
