A single-herb liquid extract of dried tops of Avena sativa, cold-macerated in small batches and offered either as a traditional tincture in organic sugar-cane alcohol or as a vegetable glycerite.

About the plant

This is oats caught at the milky stage. The seed head is taken in the short window — a week or two, no more — when the developing grain is still soft and squeezing one between finger and thumb releases a drop of white sap like thin milk. A few days later the sap has set into starch and what you have is straw. Harvesting means going out into the same field every day and testing until the crop is ready and then cutting the whole of it at once, which is why milky oat tops are a different article from oat straw and priced accordingly.

No added sugar. Contains no artificial colours, preservatives or fragrances.

Suggested use

Shake well before use. Take 20–30 drops (about 1 ml, one full squeeze of the dropper bulb) in 2 oz of water or juice, up to 4 times daily, or as directed by a qualified healthcare practitioner.

Keep out of reach of children. Not for use during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
