A single-herb liquid extract of dried flowers of Nelumbo nucifera, cold-macerated in small batches and offered either as a traditional tincture in organic sugar-cane alcohol or as a vegetable glycerite.

About the plant

This is the flower of the lotus. A lotus bloom is large, pink or white, held clear of the water on its own stalk, and it does something few flowers do: it heats itself, holding its centre near thirty degrees for two or three days regardless of the air temperature, which draws in beetles that shelter inside overnight and leave dusted with pollen. The petals are picked as the flower opens on its second morning.

Suggested use

Shake well before use. Take 20–30 drops (about 1 ml, one full squeeze of the dropper bulb) in 2 oz of water or juice, up to 4 times daily, or as directed by a qualified healthcare practitioner.
