A single-herb liquid extract of dried herb of Artemisia annua, cold-macerated in small batches and offered either as a traditional tincture in organic sugar-cane alcohol or as a vegetable glycerite.

About the plant

Sweet wormwood is a fast annual that can put on two metres in a season, with finely divided fern-like foliage and loose sprays of tiny yellow-green flowerheads that are easy to miss. It is native to temperate Asia and has naturalised widely on waste ground in Europe and North America. Brush past it and the scent is unmistakable — sweet, camphoraceous, resinous, quite unlike the bitter smell of its relative Artemisia absinthium. The Chinese name qing hao means simply the green herb.

Glycerite: Artemisia annua dried herb, vegetable glycerin USP, distilled water.

No added sugar. Contains no artificial colours, preservatives or fragrances.

Suggested use

Shake well before use. Take 20–30 drops (about 1 ml, one full squeeze of the dropper bulb) in 2 oz of water or juice, up to 4 times daily, or as directed by a qualified healthcare practitioner.

Warnings

Not for use in pregnancy. Do not use continuously for long periods without practitioner supervision.
