A single-herb liquid extract of dried leaves of Coriandrum sativum, cold-macerated in small batches and offered either as a traditional tincture in organic sugar-cane alcohol or as a vegetable glycerite.

About the plant

Coriander divides people along a genetic line. A common variant in one of the olfactory receptor genes changes how the leaf aldehydes are perceived, and to people carrying it the herb tastes distinctly of soap rather than of anything green — which explains an argument that otherwise looks like pure stubbornness. The plant is an annual umbellifer, and leaf and seed taste nothing alike: the seed is warm, sweet and citrus, the leaf sharp and pungent.

Suggested use

Shake well before use. Take 20–30 drops (about 1 ml, one full squeeze of the dropper bulb) in 2 oz of water or juice, up to 4 times daily, or as directed by a qualified healthcare practitioner.

Warnings

People with a birch or mugwort pollen allergy may react to coriander. It may lower blood sugar and blood pressure.
