A single-herb liquid extract of dried leaves of Tilia × europaea, cold-macerated in small batches and offered either as a traditional tincture in organic sugar-cane alcohol or as a vegetable glycerite.

About the plant

Common lime is a hybrid of the large-leaved and small-leaved limes, planted in avenues across Europe and rarely found wild. Its leaves are heart-shaped and noticeably lopsided at the base, and its flowers hang in small clusters, each cluster attached halfway along a long pale papery bract that stays on through seed-fall and spins the seed away like a single-bladed propeller. In flower a lime avenue is audible from some distance, because of the bees.

Glycerite: Tilia × europaea dried leaves, vegetable glycerin USP, distilled water.

No added sugar. Contains no artificial colours, preservatives or fragrances.

Suggested use

Shake well before use. Take 20–30 drops (about 1 ml, one full squeeze of the dropper bulb) in 2 oz of water or juice, up to 4 times daily, or as directed by a qualified healthcare practitioner.

Warnings

People allergic to lime or linden pollen may react to it.

Reported interactions: Moderate Interaction with Lithium Linden has a diuretic effect. Its consumption has an impact on the process of getting rid of the lithium from the body. The lithium quantity can become greater and leads to high-priority side effects. Consult a doctor, perhaps you will need to change a dosage of lithium.

Keep out of reach of children. Not for use during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. If you are taking any medication, have a medical condition, or are scheduled for surgery, consult a healthcare practitioner before use. Discontinue use if an adverse reaction occurs.
