A single-herb liquid extract of dried plant material of Heimia salicifolia, cold-macerated in small batches and offered either as a traditional tincture in organic sugar-cane alcohol or as a vegetable glycerite.

About the plant

Sinicuichi is a shrub of streamsides and damp ground from Texas down through Mexico to Argentina, with narrow willow-like leaves set in opposite pairs and small yellow six-petalled flowers tucked in the leaf axils. In central Mexico the crushed leaves have long been left in water in the sun for a day to make a drink, and the Nahuatl-derived name refers to that preparation rather than to the plant.

Tincture: Heimia salicifolia, organic sugar-cane alcohol, distilled water, vegetable glycerin USP.
Glycerite: Heimia salicifolia, vegetable glycerin USP, distilled water.

No added sugar. Contains no artificial colours, preservatives or fragrances.

Suggested use

Shake well before use. Take 20–30 drops (about 1 ml, one full squeeze of the dropper bulb) in 2 oz of water or juice, up to 4 times daily, or as directed by a qualified healthcare practitioner.

Warnings

Sinicuichi is psychoactive and has been reported to cause auditory distortion and yellowing of vision. Do not drive or operate machinery after taking it, do not combine it with alcohol or sedatives, and do not use it in pregnancy. Adults only. Do not exceed the suggested amount.

Keep out of reach of children. Not for use during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. If you are taking any medication, have a medical condition, or are scheduled for surgery, consult a healthcare practitioner before use. Discontinue use if an adverse reaction occurs.
