A single-herb liquid extract of dried root of Flemingia philippinensis, cold-macerated in small batches and offered either as a traditional tincture in organic sugar-cane alcohol or as a vegetable glycerite.

About the plant

Flemingia is a low woody legume of hillsides and open scrub across southern China and mainland Southeast Asia, with three-part leaves and short dense spikes of small brownish-hairy flowers tucked close to the stem. Its Chinese name, qian jin ba, means roughly a thousand-catty pull: the root runs deep and straight into hard ground and is genuinely difficult to lift whole, which is where the name comes from. It is that long tapering root, pale and fibrous inside, that is dug and dried.

Glycerite: Flemingia philippinensis dried root, vegetable glycerin USP, distilled water.

No added sugar. Contains no artificial colours, preservatives or fragrances.

Suggested use

Shake well before use. Take 20–30 drops (about 1 ml, one full squeeze of the dropper bulb) in 2 oz of water or juice, up to 4 times daily, or as directed by a qualified healthcare practitioner.

Warnings

Not for use in pregnancy. There is very little published safety data on this plant.
