A single-herb liquid extract of dried leaf of Moringa oleifera, cold-macerated in small batches and offered either as a traditional tincture in organic sugar-cane alcohol or as a vegetable glycerite.

About the plant

Moringa is one of the fastest-growing trees there is — three metres in its first year from seed — with soft white wood, a thick swollen taproot and drooping tripinnate leaves whose small round leaflets strip off the stalk like beads. It came from the foothills of the western Himalaya and is now planted across the tropics, partly because it will grow in poor dry ground and partly because so much of it is usable: the long ribbed pods are cooked as drumsticks, the leaves are a common vegetable from Tamil Nadu to Senegal, and the crushed seeds release a protein that makes silt clump and settle out of muddy water.

No added sugar. Contains no artificial colours, preservatives or fragrances.

Suggested use

Shake well before use. Take 20–30 drops (about 1 ml, one full squeeze of the dropper bulb) in 2 oz of water or juice, up to 4 times daily, or as directed by a qualified healthcare practitioner.

Warnings

Moringa root and root bark contain alkaloids that are not present in the leaf; this extract is made from the leaf. Not for use in pregnancy. Moringa may lower blood sugar — take care if you are on diabetes medication.

If you are taking any medication, have a medical condition, or are scheduled for surgery, consult a healthcare practitioner before use. Discontinue use if an adverse reaction occurs.
