A single-herb liquid extract of dried mushrooms of Ganoderma lucidum, cold-macerated in small batches and offered either as a traditional tincture in organic sugar-cane alcohol or as a vegetable glycerite.

About the plant

Reishi is a shelf fungus that grows on dead and dying hardwood, kidney-shaped and stalked, with an upper surface so glossy it looks as though someone has varnished it — deep red-brown shading to a pale growing edge, with concentric ridges marking the seasons. It is woody rather than fleshy and far too tough to eat. In China it is lingzhi and in Japan mannentake, and for two thousand years it has been carved in jade, embroidered on robes and painted into scrolls as an emblem. Wild ones are uncommon; almost everything on the market is now grown on hardwood sawdust blocks or inoculated logs.

Ingredients

Tincture: Ganoderma lucidum dried mushrooms, organic sugar-cane alcohol, distilled water, vegetable glycerin USP.
Glycerite: Ganoderma lucidum dried mushrooms, vegetable glycerin USP, distilled water.

No added sugar. Contains no artificial colours, preservatives or fragrances.

Suggested use

Shake well before use. Take 20–30 drops (about 1 ml, one full squeeze of the dropper bulb) in 2 oz of water or juice, up to 4 times daily, or as directed by a qualified healthcare practitioner.

Warnings

Reishi may thin the blood. Do not use with anticoagulant or antiplatelet medication, and stop use at least two weeks before surgery. Not for use in pregnancy.

Keep out of reach of children. Not for use during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. If you are taking any medication, have a medical condition, or are scheduled for surgery, consult a healthcare practitioner before use. Discontinue use if an adverse reaction occurs. Do not use if the tamper seal is broken or missing. Store tightly capped in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
