A single-herb liquid extract of dried fruit of Citrus medica var. sarcodactylis, cold-macerated in small batches and offered either as a traditional tincture in organic sugar-cane alcohol or as a vegetable glycerite.

About the plant

Buddha's hand is a citron that has given up on being a fruit. It splits into long curling finger-like lobes and contains almost no pulp and no juice at all — it is essentially all peel and white pith, which is why it is used for aroma and for candying rather than eaten. The scent is intense and lasts for weeks. Fruits with the fingers closed like praying hands are the ones traditionally placed on altars as offerings.

No added sugar. Contains no artificial colours, preservatives or fragrances.

Suggested use

Shake well before use. Take 20–30 drops (about 1 ml, one full squeeze of the dropper bulb) in 2 oz of water or juice, up to 4 times daily, or as directed by a qualified healthcare practitioner.

Citrus peel can change the blood levels of a number of prescription medicines — take advice first if you are on regular medication. Not for use in pregnancy in more than culinary amounts.
