A single-herb liquid extract of dried herb of Fumaria officinalis, cold-macerated in small batches and offered either as a traditional tincture in organic sugar-cane alcohol or as a vegetable glycerite.

About the plant

Fumitory is a scrambling grey-green annual of arable fields and disturbed ground, with leaves cut so finely that a patch of it at a distance looks like a haze or a puff of smoke lying on the soil — which is exactly what the name says: fumus terrae, smoke of the earth. The flowers are small tubular spurred things in loose spikes, pink with a dark maroon tip, and they belong to the poppy family, which is not obvious until you look closely.

No added sugar. Contains no artificial colours, preservatives or fragrances.

Suggested use

Shake well before use. Take 20–30 drops (about 1 ml, one full squeeze of the dropper bulb) in 2 oz of water or juice, up to 4 times daily, or as directed by a qualified healthcare practitioner.

Warnings

Not for use in pregnancy. Do not use if you have glaucoma. Do not exceed the suggested amount or use continuously for more than a few weeks.

If you are taking any medication, have a medical condition, or are scheduled for surgery, consult a healthcare practitioner before use. Discontinue use if an adverse reaction occurs.
