A single-herb liquid extract of dried plumule of Nelumbo nucifera, cold-macerated in small batches and offered either as a traditional tincture in organic sugar-cane alcohol or as a vegetable glycerite.

About the plant

Lian zi xin is the green embryo taken out of the middle of a lotus seed, a curled shoot barely a centimetre long. It is removed because it is bitter and the seed around it is meant to be sweet, and then it is dried and sold on its own account. The lotus itself is remarkable for seed longevity: seeds recovered from a dry lake bed in Liaoning germinated after roughly thirteen hundred years, among the oldest viable seeds ever recorded. Its leaves shed water so completely that the effect is named after the plant.

No added sugar. Contains no artificial colours, preservatives or fragrances.

Suggested use

Shake well before use. Take 20–30 drops (about 1 ml, one full squeeze of the dropper bulb) in 2 oz of water or juice, up to 4 times daily, or as directed by a qualified healthcare practitioner.
