A single-herb liquid extract of dried stamens of Nelumbo nucifera, cold-macerated in small batches and offered either as a traditional tincture in organic sugar-cane alcohol or as a vegetable glycerite.

About the plant

These are the stamens of the lotus flower — a dense brush of slender yellow filaments surrounding the flat seed head at the centre of the bloom, picked out by hand as the flower opens. They are traditionally used to scent tea in China and Vietnam, packed in among the leaves overnight and then removed, and they carry a distinct sweet floral aroma of their own quite unlike the seed or the leaf.

No added sugar. Contains no artificial colours, preservatives or fragrances.

Suggested use

Shake well before use. Take 20–30 drops (about 1 ml, one full squeeze of the dropper bulb) in 2 oz of water or juice, up to 4 times daily, or as directed by a qualified healthcare practitioner.
