A single-herb liquid extract of dried leaves of Taraxacum officinale, cold-macerated in small batches and offered either as a traditional tincture in organic sugar-cane alcohol or as a vegetable glycerite.

About the plant

The dandelion does not need pollination. It sets seed apomictically, so every seedling is a clone of the plant that made it, and populations diverge into local lines that never interbreed — which is why specialists recognise well over two thousand microspecies of what everyone else calls one weed. The flower is not a flower but a head of a couple of hundred ray florets packed together, each producing a single seed on its own parachute. The stem is hollow and bleeds white latex, the leaf is deeply cut into backward-pointing teeth — dent de lion — and the taproot goes down far enough to make the plant almost impossible to weed out by hand.

Suggested use

Shake well before use. Take 20–30 drops (about 1 ml, one full squeeze of the dropper bulb) in 2 oz of water or juice, up to 4 times daily, or as directed by a qualified healthcare practitioner.
