A single-herb liquid extract of dried herb of Desmodium adscendens, cold-macerated in small batches and offered either as a traditional tincture in organic sugar-cane alcohol or as a vegetable glycerite.

About the plant

This desmodium is a low creeping perennial of forest floors, plantations and disturbed ground across tropical Africa and the Americas, rooting as it goes and rarely rising more than a hand above the ground. It has small trifoliate leaves and slender racemes of tiny purple pea flowers, followed by the jointed pods the genus is known for, which break into segments and hook onto anything passing. In Ghana and Cameroon it is one of the commonest plants of a cocoa or oil-palm understorey.

No added sugar. Contains no artificial colours, preservatives or fragrances.

Suggested use

Shake well before use. Take 20–30 drops (about 1 ml, one full squeeze of the dropper bulb) in 2 oz of water or juice, up to 4 times daily, or as directed by a qualified healthcare practitioner.
