A single-herb liquid extract of dried herb of Desmodium illinoense, cold-macerated in small batches and offered either as a traditional tincture in organic sugar-cane alcohol or as a vegetable glycerite.

About the plant

Illinois tick trefoil is an upright prairie perennial of the American Midwest, growing to a metre and a half on a rough stem with trifoliate leaves and loose spikes of small pink pea flowers. What everyone remembers is the seed pod: a flattened chain of segments, covered in minute hooked hairs, which breaks apart into individual joints that fasten themselves to socks, dog fur and trouser legs and are almost impossible to brush off — hence tick trefoil, and hence its distribution.

Glycerite: Desmodium illinoense dried herb, vegetable glycerin USP, distilled water.

No added sugar. Contains no artificial colours, preservatives or fragrances.

Suggested use

Shake well before use. Take 20–30 drops (about 1 ml, one full squeeze of the dropper bulb) in 2 oz of water or juice, up to 4 times daily, or as directed by a qualified healthcare practitioner.
