A single-herb liquid extract of dried mushrooms of Tremella fuciformis, cold-macerated in small batches and offered either as a traditional tincture in organic sugar-cane alcohol or as a vegetable glycerite.

About the plant

Snow fungus grows as a mass of translucent white frilly lobes on dead hardwood in the subtropics, looking more like a crumpled plastic bag than a mushroom until it dries, when it shrinks to a hard yellowish nub and then swells again in water. It has a complication: it cannot digest wood itself, and lives by parasitising another fungus that can, so cultivating it means growing both. It has almost no flavour of its own, and is prized in Chinese cooking entirely for its gelatinous, faintly crunchy texture in sweet soups.

No added sugar. Contains no artificial colours, preservatives or fragrances.

Suggested use

Shake well before use. Take 20–30 drops (about 1 ml, one full squeeze of the dropper bulb) in 2 oz of water or juice, up to 4 times daily, or as directed by a qualified healthcare practitioner.

Not for use by anyone with a bleeding disorder or taking anticoagulants. People with a mould allergy may react to mushroom extracts.
