A single-herb liquid extract of dried plant material of Galium aparine, cold-macerated in small batches and offered either as a traditional tincture in organic sugar-cane alcohol or as a vegetable glycerite.

About the plant

Cleavers climbs by being covered in hooks. Every stem, leaf edge and fruit carries minute backward-facing bristles, and the plant uses them to scramble up through hedges and to attach itself to passing animals and trouser legs — which is where goosegrass, sticky willy and catchweed all come from. The leaves are in whorls of six or eight around a square stem, the flowers are tiny and white, and the paired burred fruits stick to anything. It is in the same family as coffee, and its roasted fruits have been used as a substitute.

Tincture: Galium aparine, organic sugar-cane alcohol, distilled water, vegetable glycerin USP.
Glycerite: Galium aparine, vegetable glycerin USP, distilled water.

No added sugar. Contains no artificial colours, preservatives or fragrances.

Suggested use

Shake well before use. Take 20–30 drops (about 1 ml, one full squeeze of the dropper bulb) in 2 oz of water or juice, up to 4 times daily, or as directed by a qualified healthcare practitioner.

Not for use in pregnancy or by anyone with diabetes taking medication for it.
