A single-herb liquid extract of dried leaves of Verbascum densiflorum, cold-macerated in small batches and offered either as a traditional tincture in organic sugar-cane alcohol or as a vegetable glycerite.

About the plant

This is the leaf of dense-flowered mullein, the larger-flowered species that European pharmacopoeias specify. The plant spends its first year as a flat rosette of big soft leaves, thickly covered on both sides in branched star-shaped hairs that give them the texture of felt and a pale grey-green colour. Those same hairs are why mullein leaf preparations are traditionally strained: they irritate the throat if they are left in.

Suggested use

Shake well before use. Take 20–30 drops (about 1 ml, one full squeeze of the dropper bulb) in 2 oz of water or juice, up to 4 times daily, or as directed by a qualified healthcare practitioner.
