A single-herb liquid extract of dried fruits of Morinda citrifolia, cold-macerated in small batches and offered either as a traditional tincture in organic sugar-cane alcohol or as a vegetable glycerite.

About the plant

Noni is a coastal tree of the Pacific and Southeast Asia that will grow on raw lava, coral sand and salt spray, which is why Polynesian voyagers carried it in their canoes along with breadfruit and taro. It fruits and flowers all year at once. The fruit is a lumpy pale-yellow compound fruit, and when ripe it smells overpoweringly of blue cheese and worse — butanoic acid does most of that — which is where the names cheese fruit and vomit fruit come from.

Tincture: Morinda citrifolia dried fruits, organic sugar-cane alcohol, distilled water, vegetable glycerin USP.
Glycerite: Morinda citrifolia dried fruits, vegetable glycerin USP, distilled water.

No added sugar. Contains no artificial colours, preservatives or fragrances.

Suggested use

Shake well before use. Take 20–30 drops (about 1 ml, one full squeeze of the dropper bulb) in 2 oz of water or juice, up to 4 times daily, or as directed by a qualified healthcare practitioner.

Warnings

Noni is high in potassium. Do not use it if you have kidney disease or are on a potassium-restricted diet, or alongside potassium-sparing diuretics or ACE inhibitors, without medical advice. Cases of liver injury have been reported with noni preparations — avoid it if you have liver disease and stop use if you develop jaundice, dark urine or unexplained tiredness. Not for use in pregnancy.

Keep out of reach of children. Not for use during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. If you are taking any medication, have a medical condition, or are scheduled for surgery, consult a healthcare practitioner before use. Discontinue use if an adverse reaction occurs. Do not use if the tamper seal is broken or missing. Store tightly capped in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
